GenConnect Peer Group
GenConnect invites family members from different businesses to connect. Participants can be at any level in a family-owned business. Dan Beenken, director of the UNI Family Business Center, will focus on common cross-generational struggles. This peer group is included in a UNI Family Business Center membership and offers free-flowing conversation rather than the more structured content of our other peer groups.

Dan Beenken
Dan serves as the director for the UNI Family Business Center. Prior to his current roles, his experience was in the asset management, venture capital and investment banking industries – most recently in business development and product management for RBC Dain Rauscher. Beenken has extensive experience working with early-stage firms on capital formation and exit strategies. He has also served as a business consultant at the University of Minnesota and Iowa State University. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurial management from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business.
